How do i make my make-up last longer?

I dont wear much make up, just light foundation, blusher, pencil eyeliner and Mascara though by the end of every school day or whenever i go out i find that my Blusher hasen't stayed on and has gone blotchy-ish/patchy and my eyeliner has inprinted below itself and looks dreadful, i do i keep my make-up in tact? Also, i have a party next weekend and need to keep it looking good for that :) please help! xox
