How do you avoid a guy?

He knows i like him but he used to give all the signs that meant liked me but now it seems it was just me obsessing over nothing. And i'vd tried avoiding him but when i don't see him i end up seeing him even though i don't mean to. I can't stand it his friends watch me and he's obviously avoiding me and i try to too.
